Privacy Policy

Aligned Mind Therapy ("Aligned Mind", "we", "us") is responsible for the personal data described in this policy. We provide psychological services for adults in the Netherlands. Our practice details are NIP 244617, KVK 42067388, and AGB 94121157.

For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, please use our contact form. Please do not include sensitive information in your initial message.

Information we collect

When you use the contact form, we collect your name, email address, message, and the date and time of your enquiry. We also use an anti-spam verification service to protect the form from abuse; it processes technical information such as your IP address and browser data for that security purpose.

When you book through the scheduler, the booking is provided by Google Calendar. Information entered there is collected and handled by Google under its own privacy policy. We do not receive your Google account password.

Why we use your information

We use enquiry information to respond to your request, consider whether our services may be suitable, arrange an intro call, and keep the website and contact form secure. We do not use your information for advertising or sell it to others.

Our legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into an agreement and our legitimate interest in operating a secure practice website. If you choose to include health or other special-category information in an enquiry, we rely on your explicit consent. You may withdraw that consent at any time, although this will not affect processing already carried out.

Who receives information

Contact-form messages are delivered using an email service provider. Google provides the booking scheduler, which loads automatically when you visit the booking page. These providers may process data outside the European Economic Area using their applicable safeguards. We only share information where needed to operate the website, respond to you, comply with law, or protect safety.

Retention

We keep website enquiries only for as long as needed to respond and manage the enquiry, normally no longer than 12 months unless an appointment, professional duty, or legal requirement requires longer retention. If treatment begins, clinical records are normally retained for 20 years from the date of the last change to the record where Dutch medical-record retention rules apply. Records may be kept longer where this is required by law or reasonably necessary for continued care.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may ask for access to, correction, deletion, restriction, or transfer of your personal data, or object to processing. You may also complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens). We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.

Cookies and similar technology

Aligned Mind does not use analytics, advertising, or social-media tracking cookies. Outside the third-party booking scheduler described below, the site does not set non-essential cookies.

The contact form uses an anti-spam verification service to prevent abuse. It may process technical information and use strictly necessary browser storage or cookies to provide that security check. It is only loaded on the contact page and is not used for advertising or visitor profiling.

Google Calendar loads automatically on the booking page and may set cookies or process technical information under its own policies. You can instead open the booking page in a new tab or contact us directly. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings; blocking necessary technology may prevent the scheduler or contact form from working.

We may update this policy when our services or legal obligations change. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
