Frequently Asked Questions

What are your rates?

Please get in touch directly for current session rates.

Do you offer in-person or online sessions?

Both - you are welcome to choose whichever format works best for you.

Do you accept health insurance?

I work on a private pay basis. This means no GP referral is required, there are no waiting lists, and there is full flexibility in scheduling. Some insurance policies may offer partial reimbursement for private psychological care. I recommend checking directly with your insurer to see what your policy covers. If you need documentation to support a reimbursement claim, I am happy to provide what is needed.

What's your cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let me know at least 24 hours in advance to avoid a full session charge.

What happens in the Intro Call?

The Intro Call is a chance to share what is bringing you to therapy, ask any questions, and see whether working together feels like a good fit. There is no obligation to continue afterward.

How do I know if therapy is working?

Progress in therapy can look different for everyone, and it is not always linear. We will regularly check in on how things are going, revisit your goals together, and adjust the focus of our work as needed. You should expect to feel heard and to notice, over time, shifts in how you understand yourself, manage difficult moments, or relate to what has been bringing you to therapy.

Is everything I share confidential?

Yes. Everything discussed in sessions is confidential, in line with professional and legal standards for psychologists in the Netherlands.

Do you work with children or couples?

I work exclusively with individual adult clients. Psychoeducation sessions can, in some cases, involve a partner or someone significant in your support network.

Do you offer crisis support?

This practice does not provide emergency or crisis services. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, or feel at risk of harming yourself or someone else, please call 112 immediately. If you are struggling with suicidal thoughts, you can also contact 113 Zelfmoordpreventie by calling 113 or 0800-0113. You can also contact your GP (huisarts) or the out-of-hours GP service (huisartsenpost) in your area. If you are outside the Netherlands, please contact your local emergency services or crisis support line.
